Becky's Story

While I was on vacation, playing volleyball, my wrists started hurting. I was playing volleyball regularly, at least three or four times a week, and the pain just wouldn’t go away. And then I had problems in my knees. So biking also was just impossible for me to do.

“I’m very passionate about being active and REMICADE makes me feel like I’m alive again!”

I was put on a few other medications and they just didn’t work. My rheumatologist recommended REMICADE, but I thought I was just too young for REMICADE treatment. After I found out about my joint damage, which just continued, I decided to try REMICADE. At first, I wasn’t thrilled about the IV, but I’m relieved to know that I’m in the care of my doctor and nurse during my treatment. They can answer any questions I have. Also, it’s my time to really bond with other patients, who are in a similar situation.

After being on REMICADE for two years, my confidence levels definitely have increased. I’m back to my favorite activities and going for bike rides in the park. I’m very passionate about being active and REMICADE makes me feel like I’m alive again.

I’m looking forward to my wedding, and I’m very busy planning for it. Life is as promising as ever.
