The REMICADE® infusion process

When you begin treatment with REMICADE®, you will receive 3 starter infusions over the first 6 weeks—the first at the start of treatment, another 2 weeks later, and one more 4 weeks after that.

After your first 3 treatments, you will begin maintenance dosing, which means you'll receive an infusion once every 6 weeks. It is important to follow the dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor.

Starter & Maintenance dosing

With REMICADE®, a doctor or nurse will determine the right amount of medication for you based on your weight and will be there to give you your treatment. He or she will monitor you throughout the process and for a period of time afterward. He or she may give you medicine before the infusion to prevent or reduce side effects.

Our nurse-guided virtual walk-through covers the key stages of the infusion process with REMICADE®. It also explains what you can do to prepare for the appointment, what to expect during the infusion, and which steps to take after the infusion.
